CONTEST COORDINATOR


  • There can only be one contest coordinator from each school.
  • The contest coordinator is to see to the administrative aspects of the contest for the school.

Online Registration (April 11 – July 4): Step-by-step guide

School Registration
  1. Go to the school registration page.
  2. Key in your school name; select the state in which your school is situated and click 'Search'.
  3. Select your school from the list generated, then click 'Confirm Selection'.
  4. Check your school's details and click 'Yes' if the information shown is correct.
  5. Fill in the contest coordinator's details and all other information required, then click 'Next'.
  6. Please ensure that the school's and contest coordinator's information have been correctly filled in. Then, click 'Register'.
  7. Upon approval (within three working days), a password will be sent to your (contest coordinator's) e-mail address. Use this password to log on to the team registration page. [IMPORTANT: Jot down the password as you will need to use this same password each time you log on to the registration page to amend any information on the teams/supervising teachers/entries.]
Registration of teams and entries
  1. Go to the team registration page.
  2. Log in using your (contest coordinator's) e-mail and password.
  3. Register the teams from your school who are participating in the contest, by filling in:
    • Name of team
    • Name of supervising teacher
    • Number of entries each team is submitting (this can be filled in later, when you have collected all entries and finalised the number of submissions from each team)
  4. Click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page. By doing so, you have registered the teams you have just keyed in.
    • If you wish to add more teams, repeat steps 3 and 4.
    • If you have made an error and wish to edit the information, click 'Edit'.
    • If you wish to erase an entire team's information permanently, click 'Delete'.
    You can log in to add, amend and delete teams and entries as many times as needed before the online registration closes.
  5. After you have finished registering all teams and entries, and have updated your registration (including deleting teams who have dropped out or who are not submitting entries), click ‘Print this Page’ and print two copies of this completed online registration form.
  6. One copy of the registration form is to be enclosed when submitting your students’ entries to Menara Star, PJ. The other copy is to be kept for your reference.
  7. Please DO NOT pencil in any information in the hard copy submitted. Kindly ensure that all information is up-to-date before printing out the form.

    8. Note: Online registration opens from April 11 (10am) until July 4 (5pm). The contest closes on July 4. All entries must reach Menara Star, PJ, by July 4 (5pm).

    Nomination of Entries

    • Nominate not more than THREE best entries to move on to the next stage of the contest to stand a chance of winning the state-level award and grand prize.
    • Attach these nominated entries with labels and separate them from the rest of the entries. Place them right at the top of the pile.

    Submission of Entries (by July 4)

    • Enclose a copy of the registration form.
      • Submit all entries in one batch to:

      46350 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
    • All entries must reach Menara Star, Petaling Jaya, by July 4, 2018 (5pm).

    Distribution of redemption items

    • Once the redemption items (certificates of participation and merit awards) have been sent to the schools/contest coordinators, the contest coordinators are to distribute them accordingly.
    • Each contest coordinator will receive a hypermarket voucher worth RM50, if he enrols FIVE or more valid teams.

    Supervising Teachers

    • Each team must be under the supervision of one teacher, but one teacher may supervise more than one team.
    • The supervising teacher is to guide the teams in the production of their entries.
    • The supervising teacher is responsible for collecting the entries from these teams and submitting them to the contest coordinator.
    • Once the redemption items have been received from the school’s contest coordinator, the supervising teacher is responsible for distributing the items to the students under his supervision.

    Grand Finals

    • If a team under the supervision of a teacher is chosen as a finalist, the supervising teacher is to guide the team in preparing for the finals. The supervising teachers of the grand prize winners, the runners-up and consolation prize winners get to enjoy the prizes, too.
