Whatever you can think of – steel and glass towers that reach the skies; long stretches of untouched beaches; exotic wildlife in virgin rainforests; a vibrant cultural experience, etc – Malaysia has something to offer everyone.

But you already knew that.

Which is why we’re presenting you with a challenge; a responsibility of sorts to let others learn what you already know.

AllMalaysia.info invites you to participate in its Malaysia: Reviewed! Contest. Open to Malaysian citizens and non-Malaysians residing in the country, this contest, organised to commemorate the soon-to-be-relaunched information portal, provides you with the opportunity to share your Malaysian holiday experience. – the beauty you beheld, the adventures you had, the joy you experienced.

And for four consecutive weeks, beginning July 21, we’ll reward the best weekly entries with – what else? – a holiday stay at participating hotels. Plus, you get the added pleasure of knowing that someone else will benefit from your “reviews”.

Contest Guidelines

Contestants are required to write a review of a holiday destination within Malaysia, one that they have had the pleasure of visiting in 2008.

A personal take of your experience is most welcome, highlighting the following:

• Location of destination, with guidelines on how to get there
• Attractions to visit (e.g. monuments, parks, farms etc)
• Things to do (e.g. shopping, trekking, diving etc)
  

Contestants are encouraged to include photographs. There will be no maximum length for each story but we would advise you to keep it between 100 and 300 words.

Contestants can write, as well as send their stories via our story submission box (Log in with your MyStar ID to access), or if they have a blog, simply send the permalink of the relevant blog post (also require login). Multiple entries are allowed.

Winner announcements will be made on Tuesday, Sep 2, 2008. All winners will be invited to the prize presentation-cum-launch of the revamped AllMalaysia.info portal, which will be held on Saturday, Sept 6, 2008 (venue to be announced later), where more surprise goodies await.

Rules and Regulations

• The contest is open to all Malaysians and non-Malaysians residing in Malaysia
• To qualify for a prize, a contestant must be a registered MyStar user with valid personal information. (i.e. new IC number and name as it appears on the IC).
• Contestants may submit as many entries as possible but only one prize is allowed per contestant. Only one (1) winner will be selected each week.
• Prizes are not exchangeable for cash and the organiser reserves the right to exchange the prize with that of a similar value without prior notice.
• Staff of Star Publications (M) Bhd, Cathay Cineleisure, Dorsett Regency KL, Parkroyal KL, Royale Bintang KL, Mercure Kota Kinabalu, Pyramid Tower Hotel, Hotel Istana KL and their immediate families are not allowed to participate in this contest.
• Winners are judged based on creativity, relevance and originality of delivery.
• Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained.
• Winners will be notified by email. The list of names of winners will also be published on the contest microsite.
